President – Sandra Ramirez (Riverside Council) is a mother of six who has been happily married for 20 years. Her PTA career began 13 years ago as secretary for a unit in Jurupa. She has served as Membership VP, Programs VP at the elementary level and President at the elementary, middle and high school levels. For Riverside Council Sandra has held the positions of Leadership VP and Programs VP and last year she organized a fabulous event for 23rd District's annual dinner. Sandra serves in her church as Children's Ministries Director and in a local Bible Study. |

Vice President – Pam Stearns (Corona-Norco Council) is the proud mother of two girls. Her oldest just started at Azusa Pacific University majoring is Psychology with a minor in Criminology. Her goal is to work for the FBI. Her second daughter is in her final year at Centennial High School and she serves a Student Liaison for Corona Norco School District. Pam's PTA career started when her youngest was in 6th grade. She has severed in just about every position on the unit and council level with the exception of treasurer. Since she does accounting for a living, she decided to pass on that position. Being a school volunteer has been one of the most rewarding types of volunteer work Pam has ever done. Even when her daughter graduates, she plans on continuing her volunteer service to the children. |

Leadership Director - Lauri Byers (Riverside Council) has served in PTA for 12 years. She has been a unit president, secretary, membership VP, Ways and Means, and various other positions. She has been serving on the Riverside Council Board for over 4 years and is enjoying it immensely. She has been married over 20 years to a wonderfully supportive husband, Hal. They have 2 teenage daughters, 2 cats, and 1 very spoiled cat. |

Membership Director --Gretchen Doughty (Corona-Norco Council) has been involved in PTA for 18 years. She started when her oldest daughter was in kindergarten just to help and the rest is history. She has served in many positions including: unit president, VP fundraising, Corona Norco Council President, Council Executive Vice President and Council Parliamentarian. She has been married to her husband Tom for 27 years. They have two daughters Marilyn 23, graduated from Cal State San Bernardino in Business Administration, she will be returning in the fall to complete her teaching credentials in Special Education and Sarah 21, a Senior at University of So Carolina studying Electrical Engineering. She enjoys gardening and her animals. |

Secretary – Kay Rookhuyzen (Alvord Council) began her PTA career when her oldest child started first grade in 1978. She has served in PTA since then in various positions including unit president, council president, and 23rd District president. Kay served on the CSPTA board as secretary, a Leadership Services advisor, and a member of the Communications Commission where she edited the CSPTA newsletter PTA in California. Kay is an identical twin. She and her husband of 34 years, Larry, have four daughters (Jennifer, 37; Brenda, 32: Morgan, 29; and Tina, 25) and one son (Robert, 33) and is the delighted grandmother of six grandsons (15, 12, 10, 6, 5 and 2) and one granddaughter (9). |

Auditor – Debra Sirotnak (Lake Elsinore Council) has been involved with PTA for 18 years. Her service has included various positions at the unit, council and district levels. Most recently she has served on the Lake Elsinore Council PTA Board as 1st VP of Leadership, unit liaison, treasurer and convention chair. She also served as the 23rd District PTA Auditor. Debra has been married to her supportive husband for 19 years. She has two children, Kristi (26) and Jerry (16) and is the proud grandma to Lexi (3). |

Parliamentarian – Beatrice Aguilar inherited hundreds of children instantly when she began working at Alvord Unified School District. Finding that Alvord Council PTA was in need of volunteers, and for love of kids, she stepped up to the plate and was elected as the Alvord Council PTA President. |

Consultant - Tammie Blackmore (Riverside Council) has been involved in PTA for 19 years. She is the immediate past 23rd District PTA President. She has served in most positions including unit president, council president, and vice president for 23rd District PTA. Tammie also served for a year on the California State PTA Board of Managers when she was the state PTA convention chairman. Married for 28 years, Tammie has one son, Steven who is a local EMT. Tammie is currently serving at the unit, council and district PTA levels. She would like to encourage all parents to be more proactive in issues encouraging student success and parent involvement. She also enjoys scrap booking and card making, and has been a scrapbook consultant for 19 years. |

Financial Consultant - Janis Russo (Corona-Norco & Riverside Council) Janis has over eighteen years experience in PTA, most of which were in Corona-Norco Council. Janis moved to Riverside in January 2006 after living in Norco for 25 years. Most recently serving as Membership Director, Janis has held many positions at unit, council and district levels, including unit president, auditor, treasurer, parliamentarian, historian and leadership but prefers financial. Janis works as a bookkeeper and office manager at their family owned business in Riverside. She has two children, Rose, a third grade teacher in Fontana and Vincent, recently honorably discharged from the Navy after 5 years of service. |

District Dinner Chairman - Heidi Pyle (Corona-Norco Council) began her PTA volunteering thirteen years ago at her very first PTA meeting when she was voted in as president at her children’s elementary school. She has held many positions including unit president, EVP, treasurer, historian, programs, parliamentarian, and council historian, secretary, VP Leadership and immediate past Corona-Norco Council PTA President. Heidi and her husband Lonnie have 3 daughters, Kristina (22), son in law, Brandon (24) and granddaughter Hannah (1 1/2), Kendal (19), and Kati-Lynn (9), and just celebrated their 24th anniversary. Heidi is also very active in her church. |

Hospitality Chairman - Patty Holmes (Corona-Norco Council) has been involved with PTA for 6 years and has served at the unit, council and district levels of PTA as a unit president, executive vice president, vice president of membership and blood drive. She is married to Dave for 13 years and has two sons. Dylan is in 6th grade and Hunter is in 4th grade. She enjoys helping at the school, youth sports, traveling, and spending quality time with family. | ||||||||||

Outreach Chairman - Nancy Hernandez (Corona-Norco Council) is the CEO of Team Hernandez. Nancy and her husband Ralph were Trojan sweethearts and have been married 17 years. They have been blessed with their children, Ralph 14, Maximillian 8, Jared 3, and Miss Ava 14 months. Nancy has served the PTA for 11 years and has been a unit president, council historian and council program and events chair. She is currently serving LEPTSA as VP of Membership and as VP Membership at the TCHS. Her mantra is to laugh often and volunteer as much as possible. She also serves the Temescal Distict Scouts as the Civic and Activities Chair and the Recruiting Chair for Pack #542. Amidst the juggling of duties, she hopes to make a positive impact in children's lives. |

Regional Liaison for TEMECULA Council - Erin Parsons (Murrieta Valley Council) has been involved with PTA for 11 years and spent much time volunteering in her daughter's special day class; her oldest is Autistic. The more time she spent volunteering the more she heard about PTA. She really liked what the PTA was doing on behalf of all the children and attended her first meeting. She has held many different positions at the unit and council levels and is now the council president. Erin is married to Keith and they have 2 daughters Brittany (16) and Victoria (13). | ||||||||||

Student Representative - Jerry Sirotnak (Lake Elsinore Council) is a Junior at Elsinore High School. He has been volunteering in PTA since he was in elementary school and has been a PTA member for 12 years. He has served as the student representative on the Lake Elsinore PTA Council for the past two years and is looking forward to serving as a council, district and state level student representative. | ||||||||||

Web Site Administrator - Mimi Badura (Hemet/San Jacinto Council) During her thirteen years in PTA, Mimi has served as council president, unit president, recording secretary, treasurer, Membership VP, parliamentarian, 23rd District Leadership Director, 23rd District PTA President and consultant Mimi and her husband Richard have one daughter, Zoie, who is a Senior at Hemet High School and has recently earned her black belt degree in Tae Kwon Do. She is a Certified Parent Liaison thorough the California Parent Center, San Diego State University and works as a Temporary Management Consultant with the Parent Engagement Leadership Initiative at Riverside County Office of Education. Corona-Norco Council - Cynthia Rodriguez has been involved with PTA for 17 years, she has been President and Treasurer at every level and has been involved at the Council level for over 9 years. She works for an Enrolled Agent (Income Tax Office) in Corona and has been married for 28 years. She has two children, Richelle (22) and Joey (18). Both children attend CSU Fullerton. Cynthia and her family have enjoyed being huge Laker fans since their daughter Richelle has been a Laker Girl for the past 4 years. Cynthia has also been very active the past four years as the Team Mom for the Boys Varsity Tennis team at Corona High School for their son Joey, who was also a Student Rep for 23rd Dist. PTA and California State PTA last year. | ||||||||||

Hemet/San Jacinto Council - Tonya Zamora has been involved with PTA for 6 years. She has served as secretary, ways and means, and president at the unit level and most recently VP of Membership at Hemet/San Jacinto Council. Moreno Valley Council - Summer Bibbee knew that PTA was great in 1972 as a student at Harper Elementary in Costa Mesa CA. She could see what a bunch of dedicated volunteers could do for her schools and started volunteering on a unit board in 1988. Since that time she has worn about every hat except auditor. She will be celebrating her 30th anniversary this year with her husband Vince. She has 5 children and a niece they raised together (only 2 still at home). She has served 23 years in the PTA and still going strong! | ||||||||||

Murrieta Valley Council - Mary Kelley has been a PTA parent for 13 years. She joined PTA when her first child started kindergarten. Her first child is currently attending Cal State Northridge and she also has a 6th grader and 4th grader. Throughout the years, Mary has been fortunate to work with many wonderful volunteers on several PTA boards, from the unit level to the district level. She has held various positions from volunteer coordinator to book fair coordinator, from legislative chair to Reflections Chair as well as Convention Chair and Executive VP for Murrieta Valley Council and Insurance Commissioner for 23rd District. Of all of the positions Mary has held, her most fulfilling has been the Legislative Chair. Advocating on behalf of children is her passion and she looks forward to attending the Annual Legislative Conference in Sacramento and meeting with California State Senators and Representatives. Riverside Council - Marilyn Orens began her involvement with PTA twelve years ago when her oldest daughter entered 1st grade. Prior to that, she had served as secretary, and then President on the board of her daughters’ preschool. It has always been her intention to be actively involved wherever her two daughters attended school and is the reason she retired from her 20 year career in info systems. PTA has given her the opportunity to make a difference at their schools and to also be available to volunteer in their classrooms. Marilyn is proud to say she has been married to her husband for 32 years. Her pride & joy are her two wonderful daughters, Alexis who just graduated from Martin Luther King H.S in Riverside and Amanda who is entering her junior year. She is also mom to 3 loving golden retrievers. | ||||||||||

Temecula Valley Council - Kathy Fink has been involved in PTA for 9 years. She has held various offices from room mom coordinator to unit president and most recently served as council secretary. She is currently working to complete her Master’s Degree in Education and begins her student teaching this fall with hopes of achieving her California Teaching Credential. She has the amazing support of her family in both her educational and volunteer pursuits. Her goal for her term as President is to work together with the Units to “Get Back to Basics” and “Build Relationships”. With these pursuits in mind, she feels the PTA in Temecula will be able to maintain the focus on Advocacy, Family Engagement and ensuring children get the most from their educational experiences. | ||||||||||
